07/23/2004: "Make it easy for your referers to purchase seats"

Problem:

You have a referer, set up as an Organization with a Training Manager Account. They have a customer who wants to buy several seats for their employees. Entering students one at a time and then purchasing a course by credit card for each is time consuming. How to make this more efficient?

Solutions:

First, bulk student import via spreadsheet can be done with Training Manager. Even if it's just a handful of students, it's probably worthwhile to download the template, add the info, and do the upload.

Second, the referer could buy all the seats with one credit card transaction (bulk purchase). The important thing to remember here is to immediately allocate all the purchased seats to the targeted students (bulk signup can also be done from Training Manager). Otherwise, any unclaimed seats would be available for any other student in the organization to signup.

Finally, if the number of students is large enough, it might make sense to set up another organization for the referer's customer. This provides the referer with the most flexibility on how seats are assigned from those purchased.
